I’m Melanie Schoen, indie author of fiction novels and comics, not to mention a giant nerd for all things anime, video games, and horror. I was born and raised in Michigan, where I still live today, with my sister and our two dogs.
Even as a young girl I was a great lover of stories full of action, romance, and intrigue, and it wasn’t long before I was writing my own, bouncing back and forth between fanfiction and my own original stories. Now, decades later, I’m finally actually publishing!
Though I like to write in different styles and genres, so far they all fall under the umbrella of “period dramas with plenty of action and LGBT romances.” I’ve always loved historical settings, while longing for more diverse and inclusive stories to take place within them. Well, now I’m making them myself!
